I saw Jesus at our Zombie Walk last Sunday, pretty sure he will be trick or treating too.

One can be a “true Christian” and engage in Halloween festivities as “harmless fun.” How many “true Christians” do you know who go out drinking, use drugs, swear, or any number of other things that Jesus and His disciples would never have thought of doing? Use your noggin!

Purely harmless fun. Halloween is no more evil than Christmas. You should enjoy life with your friends and family and the festivities that you may share together.

I can’t see Jesus having a lavish Christmas either, but that doesn’t stop his followers from doing so.

I can’t see Jesus or his disciples dressing up like that to go “trick-or-treating”. It’s a pagan holiday and it doesn’t help Him save lives. Jesus and his disciples came to gain more people into the Kingdm and running around for treats does not fulfill that purpose.

Yes, Halloween is good fun.

It sort of came from an old Catholic Christian tradition, All Saint’s day and All soul’s day…. the Pagan tradition was to get the craziness and spookiness out before the church day(s) Nov. 1 &2. It’s sort of combined, now isn’t it?

No, and niether can I see Jesus hiding Easter eggs and then sending out the twelve apostles to find them.

By dressing up as monsters and ghosts we are mocking the devil and death. We have no fear of Satan or death because Christ has made us more than conquerors. Perhaps this is melodramatic but it is not a disrespect to God or Jesus to celebrate all Hallow’s Eve.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong about it. It’s just for kids to have fun. It’s just about using imagination and being happy playing a role you might not want to be forever. I didn’t want to grow up to be a kitty cat but I had a great time meowing and jumping around one Halloween! It’s a great exercise in creativity and imagination that kids need and enjoy.

Someone in the comments said that it doesn’t directly lead others to God, so it’s not right. But then, a lot of things don’t directly lead souls to God. It’s impossible that everything every true Christian does leads directly to more souls turning to God. That’s a pretty silly argument and ignores the fact that Christians who won’t celebrate even the most innocent and obviously unsinful Halloween practices make all Christians look like uptight, un-fun jerks who want to step all over other people’s innocent good time. And that certainly doesn’t draw people to Christianity. So celebrate all the good stuff about Halloween and put a smile on!

One can’t be a “true Christian” at all in any case as the term is self righteous. Jesus is the idol of the “christian church”, a church that doesn’t care to know the truth about the man, and they all do as they will.

Ask why people do it. Many will say it is fun, a time to get together and give kids candy.
Ask how it got started.
Ask what the reason the first ones did it, it’s origins.

There are many reasons to get together and have fun.
Playing dress up is fun.

When you start getting into pagan festivals celebrating “dead saints” and passing it off as innocent fun, I cannot imagine ANYONE serious about not “hurting” Christ doing this. Celebrating this goes against EVERYTHING the Bible teaches us.

Witchcraft, dead living “souls”, divination, passing it off as “end of summer”…

And the most disturbing to me? The corelation between this celebration and time frame of the nephilim destroyed at “Noah’s flood” where the demons returned to heaven and the women and children they fathered died in the flood.. Many believe this celebration is about THEM.

Now where does this “celebration” come from again?

Are there any other circumstances children or adults can play dress up and get or give candy?
Why is this “tradition” still going on?

It is NOT harmless fun. Look at the tragic results every year.
