How do you know which religion is right? they all say that you need to be “catholic”, “pentecostal”, “baptist”
or whatever other religion, to go to “heaven” or where ever you go after life. How do you know which one is right, or wrong, or are all of them right or wrong? what if we are all wrong for even believing in stuff?
oh, and by religion i mean all types of faith, wiccan, pagan, buddah. EVERYTHING

good question. but don’t just limit the options to christian denominations. islam, hinduism, jainism, sikhism, judaism, buddism, zoroastrianism, etc. are all possible choices as well. how is a person to choose?
i think you have to have an ultimate standard. if that standard is faith, as a lot of people claim, then there are problems of how to choose among faiths. after all, it is possible to have faith in any religion, and very strong faith too. I think the ultimate standard must be physical evidence and reason. if a belief system makes claims which go against physical evidence, or makes claims which are illogical or contradictory, then you can probably safely assume that it is “false.” things you shouldn’t use to determine which religion is right are faith, tradition, fear, and popular belief. The reason why you shouldn’t use these is that they mean nothing. The only show what people think, not what is metaphysically true. hope this helps.

God loves you for you. “What Love really means” www.youtube.com This is a TV documentary written and presented by the BBC’s Louis Theroux called “The Most Hated Family in America” about the Phelps family, at the heart of the Westboro Baptist Church. Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. Fred Waldron Phelps, Sr. (born November 13, 1929) is an American pastor of the Westboro Baptist Church (WBC), an independent Baptist church based in Topeka, Kansas. His church is monitored as a hate group by the Anti-Defamation League and Southern Poverty Law Center. He is a disbarred lawyer, founder of the Phelps Chartered law firm and previous candidate for political office and was a civil rights activist in Kansas. He and his daughter, Shirley Phelps-Roper, are banned from entering the United Kingdom. He and his family are notorious for their anti-gay protests, claiming that most natural disasters and terrorist attacks are God’s punishment for a society that tolerates homosexuality. Phelps says he is an old school Baptist, and holds to all five points of Calvinism. Phelps particularly highlights John Calvin’s doctrine of unconditional election, the belief that God has elected certain people for salvation before birth, and limited atonement, the belief that Christ only died for the elect, and condemns those who believe otherwise. Phelps views Arminianism (particularly the views of the Methodist

…Bapped? Is that a sound? You can’t just go around making up words like that.

Edit: Yes, onomateopia is a word. But that doesn’t make ‘bapped’ a word… And since it’s not in Wikipedia… You’re just funny.

Why do some call John ” John the baptist” since he wasn’t a baptist…? Was he just a disciple…?
Was John baptizing in order to just reveal Jesus to Israel only, and not yet to the Gentiles….?

Bearing fruit was an evidence of those who had sincerely baptized. As John the Baptist said…

“Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance”

John’s Baptism required a personal confession of sins. Was Jesus still God when he was baptized…?

If I am not mistaken, it was the Independant Free African of Philadelphia in 1787. The (A.M.E. Church) African Methodist Episicoal Church was founded by Richard Allen in 1816. (Philadelphia)
