What do you think of this non profit idea?
It’s a guide for low income, homeless and displaced people that lists where they can receive aid such as food, shelter, medical treatment, and guidance. It’s a great idea to make an easy-to-reference compendium of information of such services, I imagine the task of keeping it updated immediately and consistently so that it remains up-to-date and accurate would be overwhelming.

When you say ‘non profit’ idea, do you mean you want to register as a nonprofit and solicit funding to compile this information or do you want to compile this information for use by established nonprofits?

Could you suggest more names for me please?
I really like the name Paloma (it’s a spanish name meaning “dove”) and need a nice middle name to go with it. So far I like Isabel or Isobel.

I also like the name Dawn, but the rest of my family hates it. Do you think it goes well with Paloma as a sibling name? Are they too different? What are some pretty middle names for Dawn?

I am one crazy chick.
Since 2010 is right around the corner I would like to make a to-do list that involves some crazy stuff.
Nothing like “sky diving” because that’s for my 21st birthday party haha.
I have things like:

I want a classy versatile breech……?
Hi,
I’m looking for a versatile fairly inexpensive breech for mainly showing purposes. I currently own a pair of grey Irideon breeches which I absolutely love! They are so stretchy and flexible! Plus, they are much cooler in the summer. Well, they are getting kind of ratty and I need a new pair for showing…they are still fine for practice. Where can I find a breech that I can use for hunters and dressage? They would need to be of the same material(Irideon: 88% polyester, 12% lycra) or similar to my Irideons. Can you show hunters in white or “dove” breeches?

Any suggestions?

Join Equestrian Life. It is a forum for horse nuts. It has groups that specialize in hunter/jumper events and usually has a member that is already competing in your interest. They can tell you what judges look for in show attire.

Houston late-night or “dive” restaurants (and bars)?
My old college roommates and I are coming in for the Texas Bowl. Although we like spending time with other alumni at the game, we’d like to try a little bit of the local culture. We’d prefer to avoid tourist traps and warehouse-style restaurants.

Any restaurants you’d recommend? Cajun, South American, Barbecue, or Tex-Mex would be preferred because we can get a lot of the other foods in the places we live. Of course, any good food would be fine.

As for bars, anything with pints, darts, and a place to talk would be good. We see each other about once every five years, and at least two of the three of us aren’t looking to meet anyone. Good beer and a decent jukebox would be nice too.

The Rice Village area is great. They have a nice combo of upscale restaurants and dive bars. Lots of local atmosphere, safe area. There’s a website detailing restaurants, etc. and directions.

Umm, I don’t think it makes my skin change colors. At any rate, it’s white, not clear, and I think it works fairly well.
