Doesn’t calling the Bible “Holy” make it an idol?
…especially, when it is placed in authority over God?

I mean, seriously, Christians will not allow God to be any different than this book says He is. Doesn’t that place the Bible in authority over God? Doesn’t that make it an idol?

Hm…. Bible is just a book made out of rolling papers, because the dude who wrote it was smoking some. Why would something that intelligent as to create life make up such stupid crap? He or she wouldnt. Why not control people with the fear of the unknown? Its a good way to make money, make your own religion.

get out your bible and take a lesson in something you havent read fully.

No. It is God’s Word. It is our instruction book, not our idol.

The ones who worship their holy book is Islam. Christians don’t threaten to kill you if you tear up or burn a Bible, but just announce that you are going to do that to a Quran and see what happens.

Yes. There’s even a word for it – “bibliolatry”.

Fundamentalist Christians are especially guilty of it. Which is ironic when you see how often they call Catholics idolators.

Anything can be made Holy by our father i.e. Holy ground for which Moses is commanded to remove his sandals, a book, etc. Though we do not worship these things. The Bible is Holy because it gives instructions on being righteous before Him.

Bible is the Greek word for book…..the reason it has
Holy in front of it is to distinguish it from other books.

Bible, containing Old & New Testaments, speaks of
two Holies to compare: Law: Holy, and Grace: Holy;
But in the end it’s not Holy Holy, but the Holy Bible,
because in the end there’s no mention of any Law.

Idol-a-try = Law.
Try it and see it fails as often as ppl divorce.

God = Grace: never fails nor ever forsakes.
