This video was taken in downtown Burlington, Iowa on April 29th 2007 in the early morning hours as the First Methodist Church burned.

The man has pleaded guilty to all charges involving the fire. He will spend the next 35 years in a Federal prison.

Oh, yeah, I meant Arson. I kinda forgot what it was called, but I was close! Yeah they say there was two locations of the source of the fire, one upstairs and one downstairs.

one of my friends went to church there.
First Methodist was like my second church, I’d been there so many times! I still can’t believe its gone, it was such a pretty church… and the Pipe Organ. (*cries*)

This was a deliberate act. The man that set this fire was found to have anti-christian “things” in his home.

I was walking home from my boyfriends when I saw the smoke coming from downtown. I was scared, thinking maybe my mom’s building was on fire, so I ran home and woke her up at about 4 in the morning.. it was pretty scary.
