I’m entering a contest in a Christian magazine and must write about “Why I love rock music?” What do u think??
I’m writing about why I love rock music. Can you read it and tell me your opinions? How can I make it better? There is no specific requirements for length or anything:
Why do I love rock music? One of the most obvious reasons is the awesome beat. I love the amazing vocals, guitar rifts and drum solos, but when I stop to listen to the lyrics, I am frequently reminded of our need for Jesus Christ. “Hold up, wait a minute!” You may think I’m insane. “Jesus?”, you say. Of course when someone says “rock music” everyone thinks “Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll”. Maybe I can put my perspective on it then, and you will understand.
Rock music is raw and gritty. The artist pours out their heart into the lyrics. All their flaws, imperfections, emotions, and needs show through. Their deepest needs for love and meaning are expressed regardless of the genre. This human need resonates from rock songs about relationships and breakups to screamo songs of anger and death to (continued in Details…)

There is a gap in every human being which can only be filled by Jesus. Everyone throughout the Earth spends their life searching for ways to fill that gap. This is the human experience. The beauty of rock music is that our imperfections shine through and our need for Christ is so apparent. Christ is Love itself and He is the only one who can fill us completely. The lyrics of rock music never fail to point to this truth of human existence! It reminds me of how all the world needs Jesus very much, because it is so full of anger, hatred, confusion, loneliness, and suffering.[THE END. What do you think?]
