@TenderTrap86 I do. but the Papal Infallibility was just revised and it deems that child molestation is a forgivable crime and that a woman trying to become ordained within the church is their worst crime. How can that be a religion that YOU say makes sense? Yes, I read it.
@FlashVirus yeah people defend the church and hate on me for hating the whole church, but when a church deems the act a non-serious and forgivable crime (and the church DOES view it like that) then how can I possibly see the church as a good thing? ANY organization that thinks such an act is not that bad is worthy of my hatred.

@druidic6 I’m not defending these priests. Is the whole world bipolar? It’s like a person has to either believe that all Catholic priests are devils or that they’re all angels, and there couldn’t possbily be any gray area. Preists did horrible things, but somehow that means that every single last one of them is evil? That’s rediculous and ignorant. Most people would never stand for this very un-politically correct attack on other religious/ethnic groups. but, it seems that Catholics are exempt.
@druidic6 Yes. All the priests and bishops guilty of abuse and cover up should, and most likely will, pay dearly for what they’ve done. It’s dispicable.

in canada, a movie came out to address the abuse of the children, i will not name it so as to advertise it, but it shows little boys nude and one of of their penises–is this to support or to protest boy abuse—it goes on to show a grown male actually kissing the boys body and caressing him—-canada has repeatedly supported this type of thing calling it art—there is a huge underground boy portitution ring in canada and it remains unaddressed in both media and the judicial system–very sic
the preists are denied natural relations with women, then put in charge of children–if you follow the history of the catholic church, it was once pagan rome, the romans and the greeks back to babylon all had sex with little boys—its the same institution thatchanges names–afganistan it is legal to grab any little boy in the street and sodomize him to a brutal extent–boy molestation has been a part of history for thousands of years—the catholic isnt christian, that is merely the disguise

My point of view is that children do tell there parents that they do not want to see there molesters or whoever, without going in detail what happened because they feel ashamed by the virtuous pedastal religion is put on in our society. Most parents are under the misguided teachings of the church and ship there kids off to church, same as public schools, same as friends houses, same as abusive relatives or neighbors with the misconception it is in the best interests of their child.

Christianity has about 2.1 billion followers, Islam has 1.5 billion. 3.6 billion people haven’t been able to pray away war? Do you never pray for world peace? Your omnipotent god seems kinda weak. Why does one have to die before the good stuff happens?
@hawklord2001 The pope isn’t a “mouthpiece” for God. Yes, he is infallibile, but only in matters of faith and morals. This is such a monumentous occasion that it’s only happened three time in the past 140 years. And preists are just people. Nothing “magical” happens to them upon ordination to make them super human. They are men who can now give the faithful the sacraments.

However if I’m not wrong, how as a believer do you square this. You say people are the problem, If I understand correctly the Pope is essentially Gods mouthpiece no? Does he not speak for God? These men were priests these wer’nt just “people”

@hawklord2001 No. I’m not responsible for what these guys did. I have no part. And if you want to get rid of war, slavery and poverty, you’ll have to get rid of people. People are the problem. As long as there are people, they’ll be problems. It’s a fact of life. We’re always doing each other dirty. PS the fact that you thought I would answer with “God’s will BS” goes to show how ignorant people are of our theology. Think about getting the real Cathechism and then talk.
@TenderTrap86 The penny catechism #’s 328,329 makes it clear that “we are answerable for the sin’s of others when we share the guilt by counsel, consent, provocation, by concealment, by silence”
