We Are Catholic.

The Catholic Church is my home, and it is a beautiful place of absolute truth. Unfortunately the world has tried to define it in ways that are far from the truth. I was inspired to make this video in an effort to reach out to some truth seeking teens who are trying answer the question of what it means to be Catholic. @FRAGIORGIO1.. No, I don’t put myself above anybody. Yes, I agree that mother Teresa was a wonderful person, and yes your church has been charitable. Unfortunately, I’m sorry to tell you though that all the good your church has done does not grant them an exemption to felony child molestation and rape. If your church was not trying to cover this up like they are then we all could move onto other things.

@MsChrisdom Friend, we know about all those things. They have nothing to do with THE CHURCH. Find me a passage in the Cathechism, or in any official Catholic Teaching that could be used to justify those things.
The Church is Holy, doesn’t mean we are perfect, sinless, preserved from bad judgement, etc.
“We hold this treasure in EARTHEN vessels” (2 Cor 4.7) said the Apostle St Paul…
Bad Catholics doesn’t mean bad Catholicism.

@meisner73 How do you judge others without knowing them? Do you place yourself above others and feel superior? The organization that does more for AIDS victims, single mothers, the poor and destitute is the Catholic Church all over the world. Mother Theresa lived among the abandoned and dying and attended them herself, sharing their misery and her love, which was Jesus’ love. Be more open to see good in others.

@MsChrisdom God established the ancient people of Israel as His Holy People, but that did not mean there were not sinners in it, and He kept His People going through thick and thin for about 1,300 years after Moses. Jesus founded His Church 1,982 years ago, and He has kept it One, as He prayed the Father for as a witness to His mission, and He is with that one Church for All nations and all times still (Matt 28: 18-20), unless you wish to blaspheme Him by saying it failed.

@MsChrisdom Jesus founded His one and only Church on Simon whose name He changed to Rock (Kepha in Aramaic, translated as Petros in Greek later) and said “I say that you are Rock and upon this Rock I shall build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I shall give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven, and what you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven” (Matt 16:18-20) He promised to be with His Church to the end (Matt 28:18-20). This is Jesus’ Church.

@bowman120volt Unfortunately, some people have a void in their lives. They somehow find pleasure engaging people who see the goodness in our Church. They (Atheists) enjoy insulting what we Christians find happiness and comfort in.. I pray for them. They no not what they do..

@lovencare62. Yes, I’m proud to be an atheist. And yes I do care for those children. I volunteer at my local child abuse center each week, and I sponsor a family in the Philippines. I have seen more suffering than you mainstream theists will ever know, and I actually DO something about it. Trust me, if you had a child that was raped or molested by anybody you would do everything you could to bring them to justice. You all just have not been in that situation, so you just don’t get it.

the catholic church of the lord has already suffered so much from all your attacks and insults although she has nothing to do with all these messy things done by the unfaithful members of the church. Anyway, the time will come in the future that all of us the sinners will face of judgement of god. all our hidden sins will be reveal in the public when he come again.

No, meisner73, why don’t you just admit the truth, you are an atheist, you do not believe in god. You are one of the haters of god, who hate so much anything about god. You just only use this issue and taking advantage of it for making campaign to all the catholics to give up god and his church and its teachings and that is simply your motive nothing else. You are not actually concern to these poor children who became the victim of those incedent.

I wonder. After reading all these comments below attacking OUR FAITH, why don’t these critics tell us about their churches and how perfect and beautiful they are. Talk of the parable of pointing your neighbor’s speck in the eye when you have a log. CATHOLIC IS FOREVER!!!

@DanteG9298..All i know is that im obviously not a priest. ive been single, married and now divorced..i know what it is like to be in a very healthy relationship, and also to be so lonely and miserable that i didnt want to live anymore..However at not time in my life did i ever even think of something this perverted..Yet your priests who are so close to your god go and bang little underage boys? and you think everybody who isnt catholic is supposed to just do nothing? Get real..for once.
