People counter-protest them. But I think that’s what they want – the WBC loves all the attention.

Are you kidding? People protest them all the time, which is good because they’re lunatics. They come here all the time for some reason, and all the churches go picket with them with signs to dilute theirs. Our signs say things like “God loves everyone”, etc.
